We are looking for moderators for the various sections in both GreenerPolitics and GreenerLifestyle so if you’re passionate about muncipal politics, alternative energy, efficient transportation etc. and would like to encourage discussion, drop me a line. Moderators will kick off discussions as well as write one short (300 word) article per month in their chosen area. In exchange, the moderator will have a brief bio and photo placed on the site and have their article published and indexed online.

I will also be hosting a FreeConference chat session on Monday April 30 at 7:00 pm MST to hear feedback from you on what you want to see on the site. One of the topics covered will be how to get free/cheap long distance service via the web.

(Apr 2nd, Calgary) – George Read, Leader of the Green Party of Alberta, announced his candidacy for the Calgary Elbow by-election.

Read, a veteran Green Party campaigner, said, “This by-election is an opportunity for the people of Alberta to choose between a bright, positive plan for a sustainable future, and more of the same shortsighted practices of the past that won’t meet the demands of the future.”
