The Green Party of Nova Scotia has its second leader in just over a year.
At the party’s second annual convention, held this weekend in the Annapolis Valley, Ken McGowan won the nod to succeed outgoing leader Nick Wright, who is leaving the province to pursue a career in law.
Mr. McGowan, a Cow Bay entrepreneur and Green party organizer, received 52 percent of the vote. Community activist Ellen Durkee of Middle Stewiacke tallied 33 percent of the vote and Masstown farmer Aaron Eisses got fifteen percent.
