Think-tank, Alberta premier keen on Calgary-Edmonton link
CALGARY - A multibillion-dollar high-speed rail link between Calgary and Edmonton took a forceful step forward Thursday after Premier Ed Stelmach threw his support behind the idea and an Ottawa think-tank called for a feasibility study.
“We have to. We have no choice. It will reduce emissions and it’s visionary,” the premier told reporters at the legislature.
“Now is the time to prepare because we have the options available to purchase land.”

I think that there should be a fast moving trian going from Calgary to Edmonton and there should also be one from Toronto to Ottawa to Montreal. These train would reduce the amount of traffic on the roads and could hold more people than the busses. Since these are high population areas it make sence to have this option. It also reduce the impact on the environmet as well.
