Chamber Pans Green Party Climate Plan
Thursday, June 7th, 2007The Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce says the Green Party Climate Change Plan could cause problems for business, and in the extreme, result in electrical rationing.
Kent Smith-Windsor, Executive Director says imposing a carbon tax would place businesses at a competitive disadvantage with US trading partners who are not pursuing the Kyoto Protocols. The Green Party is suggesting an immediate 50 dollar carbon tax that would push up the price of a liter of gas by 12 cents.
