In the many conversations I’ve had about gasoline prices since a short report I wrote for the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives was released in early May (Gas Price Gouge), I’ve heard just about every justification for high gas prices one could imagine.
TV3, New Zealand Green Party co-leader Russel Norman has written to Solid Energy demanding to see any information the state-owned enterprise has gathered on him.
It was revealed last month Solid Energy hired private investigators to spy on coal-mining opponents Save Happy Valley.
Dr Norman believes information was also gathered about him because of the Greens’ support for the protesters and he suspects there are also files on some MPs.
