May to renovate old house for energy efficiency
NEW GLASGOW, N.S. (CP) - The leader of the federal Green party is planning a series of renovations to make her 80-year-old home in Nova Scotia more energy efficient - and she’s hoping others will follow her example.
Elizabeth May recently bought a house in New Glasgow, which sits in the riding of Central Nova where she plans to run in the next federal election.
She said the two-storey house is very inefficient, with a recent energy efficiency audit giving it a score of 21 out of 100.
