Interview with Anouk Hoedemon
On July 16, David Chernushenko, Senior Deputy to the Leader and the Green Party of Canada’s top vote-getting candidate announced that he would be stepping down in order to participate more fully at the national roundtable on the environment. And while he left open the possibility of his return to represent the Green Party in the next election, it is up to his Electoral District Association to carry on in his absence.
I talk with Anouk Hoedeman, the CEO of the Ottawa Centre EDA about her reaction to David’s departure and what the plans are moving forward.
Interview with Mark Anielski
Mark Anielski is an economist who has worked a great deal on developing and applying the Genuine Progress Indicator, a measure that takes into account social and environmental factors when determining the overall health of an economy. In 1999, he helped update the United States GPI Report and in 2002, in collaboration with the Pembina Institute, applied the Genuine Progress Indicator in Alberta. In this interview, we talk about the origins of the GPI and how it influenced his thinking as an economist.
